At present three Special CP post are vacant or will become vacant in a few days. After Mukesh Meena's retirement Special CP Training will become vacant, Special CP Tech is lying vacant or functioning under ad-hoc arrangement and a similar case is with Special CP Media and Perception which became vacant after Sanjay Beniwal moved to Tihar as DG. Now, as per top sources, it has been learned that top brass is likely to fill these vacancies soon and internally few Special CPs might be reshuffled. However, sources also add that some Special CPs might move outside Delhi and UT cadre officers of ADG rank serving outside Delhi may be called back to fill in the vacancies as most of them have almost completed their tenure. Order in this regard is expected to be out in a few weeks.
