Former IPS officer K. Vijay Kumar of the 1975 batch and Tamil Nadu Cadre has been awarded the prestigious Padma Shri. Kumar had an illustrious, operationally sound career, including the success of Operation Cocoon, which aimed to bring down Varappan. During his tenure as DG CRPF, he oversaw the force's counterinsurgency makeover and significantly contributed to the force's overall stability and development. He also served as a Senior Advisor to MHA and the former J&K Governor on security and strategy. Team Witness In The Corridors congratulates him on this prestigious achievement.
