The Sikhs say these have been portrayed with very bad idea source says. SGPC has demanded for removal of these scenes. The film is scheduled to be released in September but with all these controversies and legal interventions, the release is likely to be delayed source says. The film is based on Emergency which was declared in June 1975 and withdrawn in March 1977. The trailer of the film contains these controversial scenes and people are wondering how Ranaut, the writer of the film has mixed terrorism with emergency, which started after many years in the state of Punjab source says. The BJP has already rebuked her for unwarranted remarks and also dissociated from the release and matter of the film because this is going to damage the image of the party amongst Sikh voters in Punjab further and badly affect the chances of the party in the next month’s state elections of Haryana source says.
