The decision to join BJP by  Trivedi is not a decision taken in haste, sources say.  Trivedi is on record to say that he is not comfortable at the party and feels gaged. It seems that TMC leaders in Rajya Sabha sidelined him and was allotted a seat, not in the main Rajya Sabha but the visitor's gallery, meant for junior leaders, moreover his expertise and experience also not utilised by giving him chance to speak on Budget. Sources say frustrated with all happenings, sources say he has decided to cross to BJP but here also Mukul Roy, senior BJP leader has given the very cool response of his joining and his son Mr Subhranshu Roy, now MLA from Beejapur, who was in charge of his campaign during elections of 2019, which he lost with little margin is also not very aggressive to accept him in BJP which he joined just after the elections. Arjun Singh, MP from Barrackpore of BJP is also not supporting his entry. Mukul Roy and Trivedi never had good relations when both were in TMC and the entry of Trivedi likely to affect his position in the party, sources say?
