After a stunning victory in local elections, the Congress party feels that they are likely to repeat the same performance in the state elections also. Sources say the leadership also feels that without Siddhu, a grassroots leader, it will not be easy to do. To consolidate the party position and to bring all leaders on a single platform signal has been given to all leaders to close their differences and come together to show the public that there are no differences. A lunch meeting called by the CM with  Siddhu could not bring results even on the pre-wedding ceremony of the granddaughter of the CM, where almost all the leaders including Bajwa attended but Siddhu’s kept himself away from the party and functions. Sources say this was a clear indication that yet both leaders are part away and to patch up differences now the in-charge of Punjab and senior leader  Harish Rawat has been inducted. Sources say the very long meeting between two leaders ended with a note that Siddhu demanded to sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister in the state cabinet or be given a state president position. It is learnt by sources and said that Amarinder Singh is ready to induct him into the cabinet but not to offer Deputy CM position. Report prepared by Rawat has been submitted to Mrs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to take a final call?
