With Big Bang government announced the act to help Hindu residents of neighboring countries to get citizenship but the agitation in the country like Shaheen Bagh and demonstrations in Bangladesh has probably forced the government to go slow, sources say. The committee working on Adhiniyam has asked for a sixth-time extension of six months. Delhi had to send a foreign secretary and minister to Bangladesh to convince the counterparts after getting tough statements, sources say.
