Prime Minister's Speech during Special Session of Parliament remembers India's first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru's famous speech "Tryst with Destiny". Prime Minister Modi said that speech was a source of inspiration and will continue to inspire people, along with mentioning Nehru's name six times. It was an interesting development as BJP leaders, including the Prime Minister, often recount how Nehru was responsible for some blunders that cost India, and from time to time, Nehru finds his place in the criticism fray of BJP leaders, but the recent gesture of Prime Minister of remembering Nehru on the first sitting of new parliament reflects the quality of true statesmanship.
