    One of the most reputed institutes of the country, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies is suffering from lack of money because the government has freeze the the grant of the institute source says. This action is a result of some controversy arising in tweets and the presentation of data by one of the renowned safrologists Sanjay Kumar during the Maharashtra assembly election source says.This brought the entire institute into controversy which is getting funds from the government through the ICSSR source says. The institute is not getting a grant for some months despite having a very good reputation and excellent execution records source says. The leading safrologist Yogendra Yadav was once head of the CSDS.

    The centre was established by some of the very reputed social scientists, Rajani Kothari, Dirubhai Seth and Ashish Nandi and brought the institute to this stature but a single mistake of Sanjay Kumar has ruined all reputation and now is facing notice from the ICSSR source says. It's said that ICSSR has frozen the fund and the reply submitted by CSDS is under examination source says. Another institute the Centre for Policy Research is also facing a similar fate due to some controversy with the government. CSDS is fighting for its existence and is very hopeful to win back the list glory and release of frozen funds a source says.
