Soon five Rajya Sabha seats will be available in Bihar. Three will go to the BJP and two are likely to go to the JD(U) source says. It's almost sure that one BJP quota seat will go to Nitin Naveen and the other will go to Pawan Singh source says. The fight is for only one seat. Chirag Paswan wants one seat for his mother Reena Paswan, originally from an Arora family source says. Jitan Manjhi wants a seat for his party and claims that if the seat is not given to his party his son, a minister in Bihar may resign. The BJP understands that this is only a threat that will not become reality in any circumstances and is not taking this threat seriously, according to the source.

Upendra Kushwaha wants renomination because his two-year term is ending in April 2026 but it's learnt that BJP has made it abundantly clear that his son will be accommodated on the MLC seat vacated by Mangal Pandey and under these circumstances it will not be possible to accommodate both father and son source says. There is a possibility that the BJP would prefer to give a seat to the partner party that comes with underprivileged candidates source says.
